Efficacy and safety of CD22 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy in patients with B cell malignancies: a protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis

Abstract Background Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy has had great success in treating patients with relapsed or refractory B malignancies, CD19-targeting therapies now approved many countries. However, a subset of fails to respond relapse after CD19 CAR therapy, part due loss, which prompted the search for alternative targets. CD22 is another found on surface cells. CARs targeting alone combination other antigens have been investigated several pre-clinical and clinical trials. Given heterogeneity small size trials, systematic reviews are needed evaluate their efficacy safety. Here, we propose review CD22, targets, malignancies. Methods We will perform EMBASE, MEDLINE, Web Science, Cochrane Register Controlled Trials, clinicaltrials.gov, International Clinical Trials Registry Platform. Ongoing completed trials be identified cataloged. Interventional studies investigating cells, including various multi-antigen approaches, malignancies eligible inclusion. Only full-text articles, conference abstracts, letters, case reports considered. Our primary outcome complete response, defined as absence detectable cancer. Secondary outcomes include adverse events, overall minimal residual disease, relapse, among others.
